With the temperatures in single digits and a blizzardy Nor'easter headed our way this weekend, I'm reaching for all the things to keep me warm.
This Steel Cut Oats + Chia seed oatmeal has been on repeat for breakfast and I'm not about to stop. Packed with plant-based fiber to support a healthy gut along with protein and omega-3 fatty acids you can't go wrong with this nutrient rich breakfast. Steel Cut Oats + Chia Oatmeal
Ingredients
1 c. unsweetened almond milk
1/2 c. steel cut oats
1 T. chia seeds
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
Instructions
Bring almond milk to a boil in a small saucepan.
Add in oats, chia seeds and protein powder; mix well.
Cook down until milk is absorbed.
Plate and top with your favorites! Personally, I like to top with nut butter and berries and a little Pamela Salzman slow cooker apple sauce (the best apple sauce there is!)
