What I really needed to feel healthy and confident

I used to think I wanted to weigh a specific weight. I thought I wanted thinner thighs, a flatter stomach and to take a photo in which my chin wasn’t doubled up.

What I really wanted was to stop beating myself up.

What I really wanted was to look in the mirror and not pick myself apart.

To not obsess about food all day, every day.

And not shy away from looking at photos.

Or hide from my emotions with excessive exercise, shopping or drinks.

What I really wanted was to feel confident - confident in my body, in my decisions and in my life.

I thought I needed the perfect plan, the perfect weight and the perfect reflection in the mirror.

What I really needed was to quiet my inner mean girl.

But before I could do that, I had to listen to her. I had to hear what she was really saying - all day, every day.

It was so hard to hear it and not go down a spiral.

But I had to get curious and question whether the stories I had been telling myself - and believing - for so long we’re actually true.

They felt so true.

It’s all I knew.

But what they were, were just sentences in my head.

Sentences I picked up along the way and created a story that I thought would motivate me into action and change.

But all it ever did was pull me down and hold me back. It kept me stuck and made me miserable.

The words you speak to yourself are so, so powerful.

They create feelings in your body that either feel good and drive effective action or draw you into a negative cycle of criticism and starting and stopping and yo-yo-ing back and forth.

These words are also in your control. No matter how deep you are in your story, it’s possible to rewrite it.

Rewrite it powerfully.

In a way that inspires and motivates.

And builds your confidence to keep going and to feel better than ever before.

In Confident Mind & Body we breakdown your story. We pull out the truths and build on them - and we rewrite the rest. With confidence and clarity to build long term sustainable change - change that feels good, that becomes who you are.

If you are ready, I invite you to schedule a free consultation.
